If I can help your friend, please email me. I’m sure s/he would get a lot of support from the MNDA Forum, part of the amazing MNDA website. So nice to be back in touch with you!

By: Michael Russell Sun, 09 Jan 2022 12:04:34 +0000 Just caught up a second time with your December ‘blog’, Peter. It is quite an education reading these……I have learned lots of new words…..’bolus’ and ‘aerophagia’ to name but two with which I have become acquired in recent weeks! Please keep up my education, Peter, even if it is taking you longer to write each blog. And congratulations to your Alex after completing his 2021 challenge. It is not every Tom, Dick and Harry that makes the Watford Observer! Look forward to speaking with you and Sue later today. Love to you both. Mike R

By: Rebecca Sun, 02 Jan 2022 15:30:33 +0000 For what it’s worth, I have been thinking about you frequently over the festive season, and Dad asked after you twice, unprompted. I wasn’t really expecting a new post quite yet, so I’m very glad to find this today!

Brilliant news about the wheelchair (I’d been wondering about that). Pleased too that you now have your hands on the eye gaze equipment. I have little doubt that you’ll soon be proficient in its use.

Finally, congratulations to Alex on an outstanding achievement. The final photo is wonderful to see.

Your trepidation is understandable; “Happy New Year” doesn’t feel like quite the right thing to say but nonetheless, bestest wishes to you all for the coming weeks and months. I know you will make the absolute best of everything.

By: Jane Tosswill Sun, 02 Jan 2022 07:01:32 +0000 Happy New Year to you and your family, Peter and many congratulations to Alex on completing an amazing feat of love, commitment and endurance. An incredible amount raised! You must all be very proud. The family photo is terrific!
I’ve been looking out for the latest update. As always, your diary is informative and inspirational and I’m sure it’s an incredible, practical resource for others living with MND. I did chuckle at the thought of you enjoying the “very satisfying loud gurgling sound” when you’d discovered a solution to the excessive air! You’ve certainly been imaginative in breaking down the taboo of bodily functions in your commentary…

So glad you have your favourite wheels back and the valuable eye gaze technology, but I also hope you get the more versatile equipment very soon.
All the very best for 2022 and I’ll be praying the TD Pilot iPad comes soon.
Jane
